Chailey Heritage support worker’s ‘magical’ time with family

A support worker said it was ‘magical’ working with a Rusper family to make a dream come true for their son with complex learning disabilities.

Amy Selby works at Chailey Heritage Foundation, where Mikey Turner has now lived for four years.

Mikey has a rare genetic condition affecting only 30 people worldwide.

He desperately wanted to spend a week at home with his parents, and the charity was able to make that dream come true.

Amy said: “It was magical being able to make it possible for Mikey to go home for a week and spend precious time with his family.

“We even took Mikey on a canal trip.

“Making such magical memories is amazing and I would strongly recommend it.” J
