Community event held in Burgess Hill

More than 300 people enjoyed a community event in Burgess Hill on Saturday, August 1.

There were lots of fun activities including free crazy golf funded by Burgess Hill District Lions Club.

Town mayor Roger Cartwright said: “This was a great day where the community came out and supported the town.

“We are very grateful to the supporting organisations for all their help in making this such a successful day. Thank you to Burgess Hill District Lions for funding this activity.”

Burgess Hill Community Radio station provided light music and interviews throughout the day, and a karate demonstration was performed by Sussex Kobudo in the Martlets Shopping Centre who also hosted the Burgess Hill Artists exhibition.

Ken Saunders, president of Burgess Hill District Lions Club, added: “It was lovely to see the so many enjoying the activities and meeting other community groups.”

The Crazy Golf and Strike A light Game were funded by Burgess Hill District Lions and provided by Altitude Events.
