Coronavirus: the tragic number of deaths across Mid Sussex neighbourhoods and villages

New data has revealed how many Covid-19 deaths there have been in the Mid Sussex area.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) said 159 people have died with Covid-19 between March 1 and May 31 (including deaths registered up to June 6).

ONS data broke down the deaths linked to Covid-19 in the area by neighbourhood.

The figures include deaths where coronavirus (Covid-19) was the underlying cause or was mentioned on the death certificate as a contributory factor.

There were 519 deaths in total across the same period – 27 per cent of those were linked to Covid-19 on average.

The deaths linked to Covid-19 broken down by neighbourhood are as follows:
