The friendly 13-year-old lights up when it is time for a walk and when playing with toys.

Honey Bee enjoys the company of staff and volunteers at the Brighton Road rehoming centre, relaxing by their side or getting a gentle fuss, but does appreciate her own space from time to time.

Tracey Rae, centre manager, said: “Her zest-for-life is infectious and her new family will relish sharing adventures with her while she makes the most of each and every day.

“Honey has endured lots of change within her life so would now love nothing more than to settle down and see out her twilight years in the comfort of a relaxing retirement home.

“A patient family who can offer her the time she needs to adjust to her new environment and support her in the process would be ideal.

“She cannot live with cats, birds or small furry pets but is able to share her home with another dog of a similar nature to her own and teenagers over the age of 16. It is essential that she has a garden of her own.

“She will make for an excellent companion to a family who will show her the love that she deserves.”
