First social tournament of the year held for Cuckfield tennis players

Members of a village tennis club braved the wind and rain in May for the club’s first social tournament of the year.

Fourteen players from Cuckfield Tennis Club played on Saturday, May 22.

Douglas Mower, chairman, said: “Across five rounds of tennis, Caroline Mower won the ladies with 14 points and Martin Sambrook the men with 18 points.

The tea and cakes which followed, were well received by everyone. We are planning a 101 year anniversary tournament in June.”
