International recognition in photography competition

A Haywards Heath photographer has gained international recognition from The Guild of Professional Photographers in its annual competition.

Nikki Goodeve was named runner-up in two categories of the organisation’s annual competition.

Photographers in the UK and overseas were required to submit a three-image panel or portfolio with a link or theme.

Nikki’s images depicted three generations, a grandfather, son and grandson who are all, or have been, pilots.

Flying through the Generations’ was one of ten entries that made it to the final, and was named the Founders Cup runner-up at the virtual awards ceremony on Saturday, February 7.

Nikki was also named runner-up in the International Pet Photographer of the Year, a competition which received more than 16,000 entries during 2020.

She said: “I’m delighted to have achieved such recognition for my work.

“It’s been such a hard year with my studio closed for periods during the pandemic, so to receive so many awards has literally just blown me away.”
