“Every single person in the organisation is playing a huge role to keep us safer. The cleaners, porters, catering and all medical staff have won our hearts once again and I will be clapping loudly with the local community on Thursday night for sure.

“Our nation’s effort would be for nothing without those prepared to be on the frontline and this includes our council staff, social workers, school staff, our police and so many more who are keeping services running while we stay home to save lives and they carry on going out to support lives and key services.

“We also greatly thank those who have stepped back into their professions and volunteer themselves.

“I know many families are living separately so they can continue to work and serve and this commitment is impressive and we are hugely grateful.

“This is truly a national effort with NHS staff at the forefront once again for us all.

“Everyone certainly knows someone who is sacrificing and helping in their community and helping the NHS effort to battle Covid 19.

“We are truly indebted, very thankful and extremely proud.”

The Mid Sussex Times this week is launching its #HealthHeroes campaign to celebrate the incredible work our health workers are doing at this extremely difficult time.

We are also highlighting all the amazing people who are doing things to help our local health workers.

We’re asking readers to share their messages of support.
