New Ansty community and sports centre almost completed
A new community and sports centre in Ansty is nearing completion, with work already underway on the internal decoration.
The Ansty Village Community Trust (AVCT) has raised £764,000 for the project and Mid Sussex District Council has supported them by allocating a further £697,000 in Section 106 developer contributions.
The AVCT is a partnership between the parish council, the village hall, the sports and social club, and Ansty Cricket Club, who are all working together to create a vibrant new central hub for village residents, visitors and the wider community of Mid Sussex to enjoy.
Once complete, the new building will include a new village hall, which will provide a valuable community space for use by many groups, including a kitchen and audio-visual facilities.
The sports and recreation facilities will be improved, with a new clubhouse and much larger changing rooms for local sports clubs.
