Haywards Heath Community Group, run by Charlotte Graham, is looking for nominations of people who went the extra mile during lockdown to help others.

Charlotte said: “Maybe a neighbour got your shopping when you were shielding? Cooked you meals? Did someone drop off care packages to cheer you up or entertain the kids?

“Did one of our wonderful key workers or volunteers amaze you with their kindness, compassion or acts of community and support?

“We want to lift up our Haywards Heath Heroes and show our appreciation for the people who have made such a tricky time that little bit easier.

“Please nominate your lockdown heroes, and share your stories about why you have chosen them.

“We have some amazing prizes, donated by local businesses.”

Nominations are open now, and close on Sunday, August 2, with winners announced on Tuesday, August 4.

Voting will be done by members of the group, with the winners being those with the most likes.
