Orchards Shopping Centre holds photo and drawing display

A shopping centre is hosting a display of photos and drawings from the community to mark a society’s 130th year.

The Orchards Shopping Centre in Haywards Heath is displaying the ‘Hope Springs Eternal’ collection in collaboration with Haywards Heath Horticultural Society (HHHS).

Sylvia Harris, vice chairman of HHHS, said: “A massive thank you to the schools and everyone who sent, brought, and helped display over 400 items.

“Spring is a time of new life and we had a wonderful response from Northlands Wood, Bolnore Village and St Joseph’s Primary School, students and many residents who sent in the amazing colourful images of spring.”

The displays were unveiled by Alastair McPherson, town mayor, Shirley Anderson, HHHS chairman, and Micky Figg, HHHS show superintendent.
