Receptionist’s rap to raise money for Haywards Heath cat adoption centre

Jill Clark, who performed the Covid Cat Wrap as her alias MC Crapper, is aiming to raise £500 to support Cats Protection and the National Cat Adoption Centre.

The centre is currently closed to the public but still caring for as many cats and kittens as they possibly can, providing food, shelter, medication and more.

Jill said: “Right now our centres and branches are closed to the public and we are only taking in cats in most serious need.

“Behind the scenes, our teams of dedicated employees and volunteers are working incredibly hard to keep every cat in our care fed, warm, happy and stimulated.

“This means that the costs of caring for them doesn’t stop.

“If you can donate today, it could cover the cost of a cat in our care for another day.”

The centre depends 100 per cent on donations and it has been badly affected by lockdown because charity shops are closed, sponsored runs, bike rides, bake sales and other fundraising events have been cancelled and they said they were unlikely to be eligible for the funding that the Government has made available for charities.

Jill said: “If you can support our special appeal today you really can make a huge difference to cats who need us.

“Our cats are here for us all please help us be here for the cats.

“Any funds raised above our target will be used to care for cats in Cats Protection’s care.”
