Record-breaking singer Cliff Richard issues special recording for people in Horsham

In a new video, Sir Cliff - who has sold 250 million records worldwide making him one of the best selling music artists of all time - urges people to support Horsham’s Capitol Theatre.

Sir Cliff, who recently celebrated his 80th birthday, says: “Aren’t we going through the most terrible time. In my lifetime I have never had to deal with anything like this - my tour was cancelled!

“Everything seems to have closed down. The arts are suffering terribly, but there is a glimmer of hope.

“Everywhere there are little things happening and, certainly in Horsham, there is a big thing happening - The Capitol Theatre is open.

“So all of you in Sussex could all leap down there anytime you want and support it and keep the thing open.

“There is a cafe, they are going to show moviews, there will be plays - everything you could wish for.

“I just hope you will support The Capitol Theatre in Horsham.”

Sir Cliff’s message follows another appeal for people to support The Capitol made by world-acclaimed actress Judi Dench.
