Three fire engines attend fire near Crawley park

Three fire engines have attended a fire at a property near a Crawley Park.

Two fire engines from Crawley Fire station and a third from Horsham attended the incident and found fencing and a hedgerow ‘well alight’, according to the fire service.

A spokesman for West Sussex Fire & rescue Service said: “We were called to a residential address alongside Buchan Country Park on Horsham Road in Southgate shortly after 4pm this afternoon.

“Firefighters used two hose reels and a main jet to extinguish the fire, and remained at the scene damping down.”
