Colin Trumble is asking local people to take part in a circular route throughout Mid Sussex this March to help raise funds for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

He said: “The Royal Marsden is an organisation very close to my heart, as they supported my family over a number of years whilst my granddaughter received treatment for cancer from the age of 18 months.

“Thankfully she is now a bubbly 10 year old, a testament to the care and specialist treatment provided by the doctors and staff at the hospital.

“However, I am acutely aware that not every child has such a happy story to tell, and I am determined to help promote and support an organisation that tirelessly works to support people through their darkest time.

“I’d like to thank our sponsors Collinsons, Swan Press and Paul Masson Funerals for supporting the walk in Mid Sussex.

“I hope many people will join us for this special event.”

The charity ‘Marsden March’, which will be held on Sunday, March 29, offers two alternatives: a 3km walk around the woodland surroundings of Hurstpierpoint, or a more challenging 9km route which includes Wolstonbury Hill.
