Young volunteer wins award at Mid Sussex Applauds for his online help during lockdown

Videos of the Mid Sussex Applauds Awards winners have been made to celebrate their accomplishments, and The Mid Sussex Times is releasing these over the next week.

The winners were announced in November last year, and the video has been made to replace the usual awards ceremony.

Mid Sussex Applauds seeks to recognise those who go above and beyond in their efforts for our community.

The Young Volunteer of the year winner is Thomas Martin.

One nomination said: “When the local church realised that online communication was going to be vital during lockdown, they knew they needed help, and Thomas willingly stepped up.

“He has been the hub around which many people connect and deserves recognition for being so essential to the community - not just the church, but the rest of the village too.”
