A personal trainer has raised money for charity after organising a ‘hugely successful’ fundraising event.

Mike Martin, a local fitness business owner, along with his team at PT for Health ran back-to-back taster classes for two hours in aid of Haywards Heath charity Time 4 Children.

Mr Martin was delighted with how successful the day was.

He said: “We raised a huge £1,961.25 for Time 4 Children, that will go to helping the wonderful volunteers continue the work they do with local children.”

Both adults and children were invited to join in the fun with most of the guests doing the full two hours of fitness classes non-stop.

Guests were able to sit outside afterwards and enjoy a picnic in the sunshine before a last bit of exercise with a friendly game of rounders.

Time 4 Children founder Vicky Chalmers was overwhelmed by Personal Training for Health’s support.

Ms Chalmers said: “We can’t thank Mike and his team enough for a wonderful fundraiser,

“The funds raised will ensure we can continue to support the emotional well-being of the children living in our community”

Both PT for Health and Time 4 Children thanked ‘generous’ local businesses who donated prizes for the raffle. Time 4 Children was established in 2005. The charity provide emotional listening support to children and work within a number of schools all over Mid Sussex.
