Pete said: “I am honoured to have held this position for such a long period, during which we have achieved real improvements in services to local residents.

At the same time, I’m very proud of the fact that our council tax has been frozen for six of those seven years and I hope other councils will continue to follow our lead.”

Brad Williams, who has been elected as new Chairman, said: “Thanks to Pete’s leadership the Parish council is in very good shape and has made real progress with the demanding Neighbourhood plan process. It’s now well placed to deal with the major challenges still ahead as we move to public

Referendum, due in 2014.”

Ansty & Staplefield Parish Council is the largest parish in West Sussex in terms of geographical area and has over 700 dwellings and numerous small businesses.

Pete Bradbury was recently re-elected as West Sussex County Councillor for Cuckfield & Lucastes, as well as being elected as Mid Sussex District Councillor for Cuckfield.
