Plans for a new playground at World’s End Recreation Ground in Burgess Hill have taken a step forward.
Mid Sussex District Council has appointed a playground supplier and the plans can now be viewed online.
A spokesman for Burgess Hill Town Council said: “Last year, Mid Sussex District Council held a public consultation so that parents and children could help to design a new playground at World’s End Recreation Ground in Burgess Hill.
“A playground supplier has now been appointed and the plans are available to view online at www.midsussex.gov.uk/leisure-sport/playgrounds/.
“The new equipment will have exciting play opportunities for children of all abilities and a Changing Places Toilet will be installed.
“There will also be a further consultation at the playground during the afternoon on September 26.
“Parents and young people are welcome to attend to discuss the plans and Mid Sussex District Council will be able to make minor changes in response to these discussions.”
Planning permission for a changing places toilet facility at the recreation ground is due to be discussed by the district council’s planning committee tonight (August 30).
Members of the public are welcome to attend the planning committee meeting in Oaklands Road, Haywards Heath, at 7pm.
If granted, the structure would be located adjacent to the existing pavilion and provide improved facilities for those members of the community whose needs are not met by the existing facility.
