FESTIVE FAIR Thanks to everybody who, in whatever way, supported the Festive Fair on November 28. The event was a great success and was well attended by “locals” and people from further afield.

The event raised in excess of £2,000 for St Peter and St James Hospice and the Support Group are sure the Hospice will have no trouble spending the money for the benefit of those using the facility, as it needs to raise £7,200 per day every day to enable it to give the best care possible. Although the Fair is well established in the village calendar this was the first time the Support group had organised it. They hope you liked the one or two changes they made; especially the raffle with tickets being delivered to every residence. This helped the raffle raise a magnificent profit just short of £1,000. A huge special thanks goes to those individuals, businesses and groups who donated raffle prizes and ingredients for the refreshments. Also a huge thank you goes to all the volunteers who helped with preparations for the Fair and assisted on the day; the Plumpton Support Group are very grateful for your continued support as without it they could not organise so many successful events for the Hospice.
