The application, for the Marylands site, in Cowfold Road, Bolney, was given the nod at a meeting of the planning committee on Thursday (April 15).

A report to the committee said the site would provide economic and social benefits to the area, bringing jobs during and after its construction.

This was borne out when the meeting was told that a Sussex-based business was already lined up to move into two of the units.

There were objections from Bolney Parish Council, which felt the plans were overdevelopment and didn’t allow enough space for landscaping to ease the impact of the new buildings.

The application was approved unanimously. To view it, log on to pa.midsussex.gov.uk and search for DM/20/2640.
