UKIP rises to 22% in eve of election poll

The elections take place every four years.

There are also some district council by-elections being held across Sussex.

A final ComRes poll before Thursday’s ballot published last night shows the voting intention in those areas across the country with local elections. It does not specifically refer to Sussex and is not comparable with normal polls as it excludes Metropolitan counties where no elections are being held.

It stands at CON 31%, LAB 24%, LDEM 12%, UKIP 22%.

According to UK Polling Report, UKIP is the biggest winner in these polling statistics compared to actual results across the country when these authorities were last elected. It is up 17% while the Conservatives are down 13, Labour are up 11, and the Lib Dems are down 13.

The acid test will be the actual voting results on Thursday.
