Delilah, a miniature Shetland pony, brought smiles to the faces of residents at Walstead Place care home in Lindfield when she paid a‘neeeighbourly’ visit.
Part of the Pat Me Equine Therapy, the diminutive equine was happy to walk up to residents both in the lounge and, for those not able to get out of bed, in their rooms.
Walstead manager Jacquie Fergusonsaid: “Everyone was more than delighted to meet Delilah and give her a stroke and pat. Seeing animals brings pleasure to everyone, especially when they are as calm and
gentle as this little pony.
