Protests continue at '˜Gatwick Gusher' oil drilling site

Demonstrators took to the roads around Horse Hill-1 oilfield today.

Various environmental groups have set up at the Horley site, nicknamed the Gatwick Gusher, which is thought to contain up to 100bn barrels of oil.

Today, group members were out with placards either protesting against fossil fuel use in general, or against fracking in particular.

However, anti-fracking campaign groups fear that large deposits of shale gas could be found, creating a huge incentive for fracking to take place.
