Sentencing delayed for man convicted of serious assault


A man who pleaded guilty to a serious assault of another man in Burgess Hill has had his sentencing delayed.

Benjamin Watkinson, 22, of Stanford Road, Brighton, pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent and assault occasioning actual bodily harm at Hove Crown Court, a Crown Prosecution Service spokesman has said.

He was due to be sentenced on November 20.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said the sentencing had been postponed and a new date had not been set.
