Silver In Bloom award for Bolnore
Green-fingered residents in Bolnore Village are celebrating a national accolade.
They picked up a silver award at the Royal Horticultural Society’s “Britain in Bloom” Awards 2013 and were nominated to take part in the competition again next year.
Eighty national finalists were selected from more than 2,000 entries after their success in last year’s regional events, with Bolnore Village being just one of only two entries selected in Sussex.
Simon Lanaway and Al McPherson accepted the award from organic gardener Bob Flowerdew at a ceremony in Cleethorpes.
