Smiles and laughter for Ardingly's annual fun run

Ardingly fun run attracted plenty of runners for the third annual cross country event.

On Sunday September 9, children, adults and dogs turned out in their droves to take part in the five mile cross country circuit which took participants from the recreation ground, through the village and around the reservoir.

Proceeds of the race will go to charities that will be announced by the organisers.

Final figures are still being processed, but early indications are that £950-£1150 was raised from the Adult fun run.

£500 will go to Oakhall Community College PTA who are currently fundraising towards a target of £30,000.

The remainder of the money will be distributed to charities within Ardingly village.

The childrens fun run was organised by St Peter’s primary school. Money raised from this race will go to the school’s PTA.
