Snow - Metrobus information

Route changes include:

* ROUTE 2 - Currently suspended between Thomas Bennett School and K2 Leisure Centre due to slippery conditions in the K2 car park. Normal route being followed elsewhere.

* ROUTE 22 - The 1230 journey from Chart Down will also serve Priory School due to the early closure today. As a result, the 1540 journey from the Priory School will start from Townfield Court instead and will not serve Hampstead Lane or Priory School.

* ROUTE 23 - Currently unable to serve Washington Village due to untreated roads becoming too slippery. Normal route being followed elsewhere.

* ROUTE 61 - Currently unable to serve Richmond Road in Horsham due to untreated roads becoming too slippery. Normal route being followed elsewhere.

* ROUTE 98 - Currently unable to serve Foxfield Cottages, College Lane, or Timber Mill in Southwater due to untreated roads becoming too slippery. Buses are operating direct from Cripplegate Corner to Southwater Street via route 23 (Worthing Road)

* ROUTE 100 - Currently suspended between Redhill Bus Station and Park 25 due to untreated roads becoming too slippery. Normal route being followed elswhere.

* ROUTE 200 - Currently unable to serve Richmond Road in Horsham due to untreated roads becoming too slippery. Normal route operating elsewhere.

* ROUTE 271 - The 1048 departure from Brighton will be diverted to Warden Park School in Cuckfield due to early closure. The 1443 departure from Brighton will not serve the school as a result.

* ROUTE 405 - Heavier delays of up to 45 minutes being experienced due to traffic volumes through roadworks.

* ROUTE 526 - Currently unable to serve Horley Interchange due to slippery conditions on the approach road, although still serving stops outside the main station entrance. Normal route being followed elsewhere.

* ROUTE 527 - Currently unable to serve Horley Interchange due to slippery conditions on the approach road, although still serving stops outside the main station entrance. Normal route being followed elsewhere.

* ROUTES 624, 638, 642, 643 and 648 will be run shortly due to the early closure of Imberhorne School and will not operate this afternoon as a result.

It is planned that buses will operate normally where possible today (Friday, January 18).

On its website it said: “However we are reliant on local authorities to keep roads clear and safe, and there is still some uncertainty around the impact of today’s forecasted severe weather. WE CAN NOT SAY WHAT LEVEL OF SERVICE WILL BE OPERATING AS THE SNOW CONTINUES TO FALL.”
