The former teacher at Bishop Bell School in Eastbourne was jailed for abduction and five counts of sex with a minor following his extradition from France in 2012.

The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is now 17.

Following his release, Forrest is expected to move into a hostel in Kent, although it is reported he wants to leave the country due to his notoriety.

He will serve the remainder of his jail term on licence and has been banned from teaching for life following his 2012 conviction.
