Thriving village puts on popular fete for Bolnore community

The annual Bolnore Village Fête was bustling with activity at the with activities ranging from the traditional coconut shy and hoopla to the popular dog show and musical entertainment.

On Saturday July 9 Jane Leeves, who plays Daphne Moon in the television series Frasier opened the event also attended by Haywards Heath Mayor Cllr Sujan Wickremaratchi and Cllrs Alastair McPhersen, Matt Jeffers and Jim Knight.

Stalls included splat the rat, hoopla, coconut shy, face painting, children’s craft and Holroyd’s were good sports in the soak the estate agent attraction.

Entertainment included a magic show, Hayley Beeson School of Dance, BPM dance, a hotly contested dog show with Bolnore Dog of The Year Storm, owned by Perry Webber.

The tug of war was won by the Bolnore ladies team and an impressive netball display match and demonstration was put on by the Woodside Netball Club.

Bolnore Village is still being built, with phase five, the final phase being completed in 2017.
