Southern Railway’s website states: “Earlier safety checks have found three track defects in the Horley area. Trains were running at a reduced speed through the area, however it has now become necessary to reduce our train service while essential repair work is carried out.

Network Rail, who own and maintain the track on which we run our trains are attending the reported track defects.

Southern ticket holders may use Metrobus route 100 between Three Bridges and Redhill, and London Underground services across London. Thameslink services will also accept Southern tickets, however they are also being affected by this incident.”
