Inspector Darren Taylor said on Twitter while officers were monitoring antisocial behaviour in Mid Sussex ‘the animals took over’.

He added: “[There were] reports of a cow blocking a road in Sayers Common, cows also reported near the A23 Pyecombe and a flock of sheep commandeering a cricket pitch in Haywards Heath.”
