Man rushed to hospital after hang glider crash

A man was rushed to hospital after crashing a hang glider into a field.

The Air Ambulance was called to the incident near Ditchling Beacon, off Streat Lane, at about 2.40pm on Saturday (March 11).

Paramedics and members of the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) also attended and treated a man at the scene.

The ambulance service said he suffered a shoulder injury and was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital for further checks.
