Motorcyclist taken to hospital after A273 collision

Traffic reports said the collision happened close to the Friars Oak Pub on Sunday afternoon (May 17).

The road was closed between the pub and the B2036 London Road, reports said.

A spokesman for the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) said crews were called to the scene at 1.40pm.

They were joined at the scene by the air ambulance.

The male motorcyclist was assessed and treated at the scene for injuries including a leg injury before being taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton by road, the spokesman confirmed.
