Sussex travel: evening update for Monday, July 20

A number of the county’s main roads are experiencing congestion and very slow-moving traffic this evening.

There is slow traffic on the B2093 at The Ridge both ways at Harrow Lane, as well as congestion to surrounding roads around the Conquest Hospital and Beauport Holiday Park.

There are also delays backing on Junction Road which is also causing further delays on the A21 Southbound, according to the AA.

Elsewhere, the AA is reporting slow traffic on the A27 Polegate Bypass both ways between The Throughbred Pub and A22 Polegate Road (Cophall Roundabout) in the construction area.

Lane restriction is in place for telecom works and is affecting traffic travelling between Eastbourne and Lewes.

The A2100 between Battle and John’s Cross Road is also closed bothways due to roadworks in Mountfield.

In the west of the county there is very slow traffic on the A286 at Stockbridge Road eastbound from Dell Quay Road to A27 Chichester Bypass.

The AA is also reporting very slow traffic on the A27 Upper Brighton Road eastbound from A24 Findon Road to A24 Broadwater Street West.

Further delays are building southbound on Findon Road.

There is also queueing traffic on A27 Shoreham Bypass westbound at Old Shoreham Road, which is affecting traffic heading towards Worthing.
