Two traffic accidents caused delays for drivers this afternoon (Tuesday June 2) in Warnham and Crawley Down.
At 3.20pm a car collided with a lamp-post on the A24 close to the Great Daux roundabout, Dorking Road, Warnham.
No one was hurt but the lamp-post fell across both lanes of the dual carriageway, blocking the A24 southbound.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area because of traffic congestion. The area has now been cleared.
Also, police were called at 2pm today after a lorry and a car collided in Turners Hill Road, Crawley Down.
The westbound carriageway of the road had to be closed as oil spilled onto a stretch that wis more than 30 metres long.
No one was injured and the area has now been cleared.
