UPDATE: Woman taken to hospital ‘as a priority’ after Haywards Heath crash

A woman was taken to hospital after she was involved in a collision with a car in Haywards Heath this morning (Friday December 4).

The A272 Lewes Road was closed after the incident, which happened in the Hurstwood Lane area at about 8.20am.

The air ambulance attended the scene, along with an ambulance, two paramedic cars and police officers.

The women, aged in her 60s, suffered head and leg injuries in the collision.

A spokesperson for South East Coast Ambulance Service said she was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton as a priority, having been treated at the scene.
