Tributes have been paid to an ‘inspirational’ and ‘highly respected’ headteacher from Lindfield.

Perry Victor died peacefully at Wilbury care home in Hove after a long illness on October 31, his family said.

For more than 30 years he was a ‘highly respected’ and ‘inspirational’ headteacher of several schools in West Sussex.

At home he was a loving husband of Pat for 65 years, a fantastic dad to Jane and David and a wise and fun ‘bamps’ to his four grandchildren.

He spent his retirement living in Lindfield, a village he loved, for 24 years.

His funeral is being held at 12 noon on Tuesday, November 20, at Woodvale Crematorium in North Chapel, Brighton.

A reception to celebrate his life of kindness and happiness will be held at Wilbury Rest Home, 66 Wilbury Road, Hove. Everyone is. Sombre is dress not required.
