One of the earliest brick built churches in Sussex is celebrating its 500th anniversary by producing a memory book.
St Peter’s Church in Twineham will be marking this historic occasion by producing a Book of Memories, and the Parochial Church Council is appealing to anyone who has any connection with St Peter’s Church to share their memories and photographs.
The council hopes to gather memories from people married at St Peter’s, those whose children were baptised there, the many with connections with Twineham CEP School who will have attended schools services in the Church, bell ringers who have visited the church’s tower, relatives or friends of people at rest in the churchyard, or anyone who has enjoyed visiting the historic building.
During the week of St Peter and St Pauls Day next year, from June 29 2016, St Peter’s Church will celebrate 500 years with services and events.
Send your written memories and photos to Jo Worsley at Twineham Place Farm, Twineham Lane, West Sussex RH17 5NP or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
