UKIP candidate Toby Brothers says he would be ‘disappointed’ if he finishes lower than second when the results of the General Election are revealed this morning (May 8).
“It isn’t a seat that anybody expects UKIP to take,” he said.
“I would be disappointed if I wasn’t second. I’ve really worked hard, 18 hour days for two months. I’ve burnt the midnight candle.”
Toby strives to change the view that ‘politicians are filth’, and says he plans to continue working in politics regardless of the result.
“I’m not stopping, I believe we need to save democracy, we have a battle to save Britain,” he said.
“UKIP has 76 pages of beautiful manifesto, we’ve done a splendid job.
“We have something to offer for all people.”
He questioned major parties make promises they cannot deliver, such as an extra £8bn funding for the NHS.
