A 200-year-old bell which went missing from a centre in Haywards Heath has been found.
The historic bell was reported missing from the Priory business centre on Thursday November 5.
Police said a former worker at the premises, which is due to be redeveloped, came forward and admitted taking it for safekeeping after being concerned it might be lost or destroyed.
The bell was handed in at Crawley police station on Monday (November 16) and the person concerned was given appropriate advice.
It has been returned to its rightful owner.
