UPDATE: Crawley man dies in crash

A man from Crawley died after a car left the road and hit a tree last night (Monday January 18).

Emergency services were called to Copthorne Bank, in Copthorne, at around 10.30pm

Police said a Hyundai i30 left the road and collided with a tree.

A 33-year-old man, who was driving the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers have confirmed he was from the Crawley area.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or with any information is asked to contact Surrey Police on 101, quoting incident reference P160.
