Firefighters spent 22 hours tackling a deliberate blaze at a farm yesterday (Sunday November 1).

Ten crews from across Sussex helped fight the flames at a barn in Falconers Farm, in Sincox Lane, Shipley.

Firefighters arrived at 12.30am where a corrugated metal barn containing two trailers loaded with straw were on fire.

A spokesman for the fire service said the barn had become unstable and was allowed to burn whilst crews protected nearby buildings.

Three gas cylinders were also removed from the barn. No-one was injured in the fire.

Crews left the scene at 10.30pm.

The spokesman added the blaze is being treated as deliberate and the incident has now been left with police.
