Update: Second wine theft reported as thieves target Pease Pottage warehouse


Sussex Police are investigating two thefts of wine in the last week.

At 8.45am on Friday, February 27, a burglary was reported at a vineyard in Foxhole Lane, Bolney.

More than 4,000 bottles of wine with a total estimated value of more than £80,000 were stolen by intruders who broke into a warehouse between 6pm on Thursday (February 26) and 8.45am on Friday.

Around 9am on Monday, March 2, it was reported there had been a burglary at the DF Warehouse in Brighton Road, Pease Pottage.

A worker arrived on Monday morning and found 350 cases of Bottega Gold sparkling wine and 20 to 25 cases of Bottega Rose had been stolen. It is estimated to be worth more than £10,000.
