Usain Bolt donates t-shirt to Haywards Heath ME charity

Usain Bolt, the world’s fastest man, has signed and donated one of his t-shirts to a charity for people who suffer with ME.

Haywards Heath based charity reMEmber are auctioning the t-shirt later this year to help local people with the chronic fatigue syndrome.

Bill Kent, Secretary of reMEmber, said: “We are tremendously grateful to Usain.

“You can also help this good cause by joining me in a sponsored walk from Clayton Windmills to Ditchling Beacon and back on Sunday 29 June, start 10.30am.

“This will be a fun event to celebrate my 75th by going to our website and clicking on Just Giving,” he added.

ReMEmber has another big event at the Sheldrake Suite, Martlets Hall, Burgess Hill on Friday June 13 at 2pm.

Professor Stephen Holgate, chairman of CFS/ME Research Collaborative will discuss the Human Genome Project and personalised medicine.

The potential future for medicine in which every patient will receive individually tailored treatment will be addressed in detail.

Dr Charles Shepherd, medical adviser to the ME Association, will discuss medical research and benefits.
