Drivers faced long delays after a van straddled the central reservation on the A23 this morning (January 30).
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Traffic travelling northbound on the A23 near Sayers Common, Hurstpierpoint, was delayed by a road traffic collision shortly before 7am on January 30.
“A van containing two men struck and straddled the central reservation. The occupants were unhurt.”
Police set up a rolling road block to slow traffic approaching the scene and then temporarily closed lane two southbound to enable the van to be recovered. Long delays resulted in both directions.
