Video: Firefighters put out Burgess Hill bedroom blaze

Fire crews attended a bedroom fire in Burgess Hill.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was called to the two-storey house in Foxglove Close at 6.18pm on Tuesday (May 12).

A spokesman said firefighters with breathing apparatus used a high pressure hose reel and covering jet to put out the flames.

The fire was started accidentally in the first floor room.

Half of it was damaged by smoke and ten per cent by fire.

The Burgess Hill firefighters checked the scene with a thermal imaging camera and left at 8.43pm.
