Hurst Prep School held an Arts Week before half term where pupils were involved in extra music, drama and art activities.
The children were able to showcase their musical talent each morning with performances in the Prep School foyer. The Jazz Choir were particularly impressive with their lively performance.
Drama pupils performed mimes and took part in improvisation sessions and drama games.
Years 6, 7 and 8 took part in art activities with the theme ‘spinning’. They made collaborative windmills and decorated CDs which are on display around the Prep School.
“The windmill task took real teamwork, creativity, effort and patience and the completed windmills, which are on display in the Prep School, are a fantastic visual aid that demonstrates how ideas can change into something special with a little effort.
“It was wonderful to see the younger years getting involved and having fun and Year 8 were fantastic helpers and role models.”
