ONE FINE DAY: takes place at the Cricket Ground on Sunday 26 August from 11.00 am until 5.00 pm and then again 7.00 pm till late. This is an all day fund-raiser for the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance. There will be a whole host of things happening throughout the day, including a dog show, a cake competition, (judged by BBC’s The Great British Bake Off contestant Cat Dresser), vintage Sussex ice creams, afternoon teas, hog roast, ferret racing, Zumba and Swoove demonstrations, a miniature pony, two bars, face painting and a Grand Raffle with amazing prizes. There will also be a Stoolball Tournament (see the Parish Magazine if you would like to enter a team). In the evening there will be live music from 3 DJs and The Captain’s Beard will be performing dressed as pirates and playing sea shanties and jigs. Tickets are £5 with under 10s free. Family tickets available too. You can buy in advance from Balcombe Stores or on the day.

The Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance operate 24 hours a day using two aircraft which means that no matter where you are in these counties you are never more than 20 minutes away from the life-saving care that only they can bring directly to your side. As a charity they rely almost entirely on donations and fundraising and without this kind of support they simply could not continue their life-saving work.
