AGE UK COMMUNITY CLUB: Age UK are hoping to launch a new community club in Balcombe in 2019 and are hosting a meet and greet session on Monday 3 December at Balcombe Club between 10am to 12:30 pm. Do come along with your suggestions to help shape which activities could be on offer here in Balcombe! Additionally the new Age UK Centre in Hurst Place, Haywards Heath is open 5 days a week. On offer is a wide range of activities from Latin American dance to quizzes to IT and craft classes. Transport can be provided by Bluebird (01444 471919) either to get to the Balcombe Club event or to the Haywards Heath Centre.

BALCOMBE SCHOOL CHRISTMAS FAIR: The festive season kicks off on Saturday 1 December at the Balcombe School Christmas Fair, with food, games and a chance to meet Santa from 12-2 pm. There will be delicious refreshments including sausage and bacon rolls, cakes, mulled wine and mince pies. All are welcome to join us and raise much-needed funds for our lovely village school. We are also holding our all-natural wreath making workshop on Wednesday 12 December - £15 per wreath, including a drink and nibbles to help the evening along. RUBBISH FREIGHTER: one freighter will be available in the village on Sunday 2 December from 10.00 - 12.00 noon in the Victory Hall Car Park. It will take domestic rubbish and some garden waste too.

The village CHRISTMAS TREE: will be going up on Sunday 2 December to remind us all that the Carols Around the Tree event is on Saturday 15 December from 5.00 pm for the early visits to Santa and singing at 6.00 pm.

MARY’S CHURCH: Sunday 2 December FIRST SUNDAY OF ADVENT 8.00 am Holy Communion, 10am FAMILY CHRISTINGLE SERVICE - The Posada starts its journey – Mary and Joseph stay each night in different homes, arriving at the Crib Service on Christmas Eve. 6pm ADVENT CAROL SERVICE – a service of readings and music as we prepare for the coming of Jesus Christ.
