The CAROLS AROUND THE TREE: event takes place on Saturday 15 December when from 5.30 pm Father Christmas will be in his Grotto under the Half Moon welcoming village children. The choir start their torchlight procession at around 5.45 pm from the church and carols start at 6.00 pm. The BBQ will be fired up selling delicious hot dogs and burgers and there will be a fund-raising tombola in the Half Moon (all donations gratefully received). The money raised goes to help local groups, individuals and charities. Don’t forget the mulled wines and ales in the Half Moon to loosen the vocal chords!

CINEMA: The next film in the Victory Hall is The King of Thieves on Friday 14 December at 7.30 pm. The film features an all-star cast of home grown legends led by Sir Michael Caine, and is the darkly funny true story of the Hatton Garden robbery, the most daring heist in British criminal history. BALCOMBE CLUB OPEN MIC: is on Tuesday 18 December at 8.00 pm. They also have live music in the form of Felony on Saturday 15 December from 7.30 pm, after the Carols Under the Tree.

BALCOMBE COMMUNITY LINKS: is on Friday 21 December from 11.00 am until 1.30 pm in the WI Room in the Victory Hall. This month they will have information available about the new Age UK initiative to run a regular weekly session in the Forest Room of the Balcombe Club. This will start on Monday 21 January and promises to be a great way of getting out and about to enjoy a tea or coffee in warm surroundings with others to natter to.
